We’re so excited to welcome you to New Orleans — one of our favorite cities in the world. Below are a few tips to help you get here, get around, and settle in for a weekend full of love, good food, and very good vibes.
Getting to New Orleans
Fly into Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY)
MSY is about a 25–30 minute drive from most hotels. Rideshares (Uber/Lyft) and taxis are available at all hours. No need to rent a car unless you’re planning a longer trip before or after.
Major US airlines with direct flights include:
Delta, United, American, Southwest, JetBlue, Spirit, and Alaska.
Direct flights to New Orleans are available from:
Northeast: New York (JFK/LGA), Boston, DC
South: Atlanta, Houston, Memphis
West Coast: Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle
Midwest: Chicago
PRO TIP
Our wedding weekend falls right after Mardi Gras, so certain flights may fill quickly. Book early!
For International Travelers
Coming from New Zealand or the UK?
We recommend flying into a major U.S. hub like Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), Houston (IAH), or New York (JFK) — all offer easy domestic connections to New Orleans (MSY).
Let us know if you’d like help planning your route — we’re here to help.
Getting Around
New Orleans is a walkable city with plenty of rideshare options. We don’t recommend renting a car — parking in the French Quarter and Garden District can be tricky.
Streetcar
Charming and inexpensive ($1.25/ride) — great for hopping between Canal Street, the Garden District, and Uptown.
Uber/Lyft
Widely available and generally quick.
Walking
Most hotels are a short walk or 5–15 minute drive from our venues.
Planning Your Arrival
If you’d like to join us for the welcome event on Friday night, plan to arrive by early evening on Friday, February 20. The wedding ceremony will take place on Saturday at 5:00 pm in the French Quarter.
We’re still finalizing wedding day travel logistics and will be in touch closer to the date — but know that the Saturday wedding events will take place in the French Quarter, which is easily accessible by streetcar or a rideshare.
Thinking of Staying the Full Week?
Do it. Mardi Gras ends Tuesday, February 17, and our wedding weekend begins right after — the perfect excuse to make a week of it.
