DAY OF DETAILS
TIPS FOR SATURDAY
Our ceremony will begin at 5pm and doors will open at 4:45pm
(don’t be like Darell, please try to arrive on time).
●
Keep an eye on the weather forecast and plan to bring light layers. Some portions of the evening will be outside, including dinner (weather permitting). Historically, New Orleans has a 31% chance of rain, a low of 50 degrees F (10C), and a high of 68 degrees F (20C) on February 21st. We’ll be keeping a close watch and will share updates if any plans shift.
●
Wear your dancing shoes! We will be parading through the streets about a half mile from the ceremony to our reception and you are not going to want to miss the chance to dance.
●
Please let us know in advance if you have mobility issues or require special arrangements for the second line parade. We will have pedicabs available for those who need or want one.
●
Finding parking in the French Quarter is challenging, so we strongly suggest that you do not drive yourself to the ceremony. If you need to drive, you can find a parking garage at the Omni Royal and there is a paid parking lot at the New Orleans Athletic Club.
●
We will be providing transportation from the reception to our afterparty at Poor Boys Bar at 11pm.
